Stream enables customers to monitor IoT devices in Salesforce

Stream Communications has launched the IoT-X Message Connector app which allows customers to synchronise monitoring alerts for IoT devices between its IoT-X platform and Salesforce. This enables customers to manage device performance information inside their CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. The IoT-X Message Connector app delivers:

Real-time device performance alerts.
• Stream's IoT-X platform allows customers to gain organisation-wide visibility of their IoT devices in real-time.
• Create usage or performance business rules in IoT-X and the messages will be seamlessly routed into Salesforce.

Raise cases and use chatter to manage business affecting alerts.
• For business critical alerts, raise a case and assign it to the right member of staff to resolve, or discuss it in Chatter.

Organisation-wide visibility of alerts.
• Assign the alert to the right person and ensure that the right devices are being monitored 24/7.

Niall Strachan, chief software architect at Stream, highlighted the significance of the release of this app: "By providing customers with the ability to embed key elements of IoT-X into their daily operations, Stream aim to make it as simple as possible for customers to engage with their portfolio of connected devices.

“Using the IoT-X Message Connector app, customers can quickly set up alerts in IoT-X and have the messages seamlessly routed to Salesforce. This provides organisation-wide visibility of alerts, which can be managed through the customer's existing support and CRM tools in Salesforce."

CEO, Nigel Chadwick, said that Stream is continuing to innovate and push the boundaries of simplifying connectivity management for IoT devices. "The IoT-X Message Connector app is a testament to the company’s philosophy of providing the most evolved PaaS (Platform as a Service) connectivity management software for wirelessly connected devices. The app aligns with Stream’s agnostic approach to enabling seamless integration with third-party applications and data analytics/storage nodes."
