Pepperl+Fuchs, a specialist in intrinsic safety and in industrial sensors, has acquired ecom instruments, the provider of mobile industrial devices for hazardous areas based in Assamstadt in Germany.
Ecom develops explosion proof cell phones, 4G smartphones and tablets. This expertise complements Pepperl+Fuchs portfolio by adding mobile device explosion protection solutions.
