RFS to feature new product lines for mobile comms at CTIA 2016

Future-proof products include HYBRIFLEX hybrid cable solutions, CPRI interface cables and Smart City urban telecom infrastructure

RFS to feature new product lines for mobile comms at CTIA 2016

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the designer and manufacturer of cable, antenna and tower systems for wireless and broadcast infrastructure, will showcase its latest wireless products for mobile communications at CTIA Super Mobility 2016 in Las Vegas, USA (7-9 September 2016). Among the products and solutions RFS will highlight at CTIA 2016 are:

RFS’s HYBRIFLEX solution is the world’s first hybrid feeder cabling solution for RRH (remote radio heads). It can be tailored to a customer’s specific needs, and built with extra fibre capacity for future scalability and expansion. RFS also offers a distinctive approach using discrete cables for DC power and fibre optics, a valid alternative for customers looking for a simple, cost-efficient FTTA deployment.

New CPRI Interface Panels for testing fibre connectivity between Optical Base Band Units (BBU) and RRHs, allowing cell operations and system performance engineers to optimise performance without having to disconnect the fibre optical system or disrupt service, avoiding unnecessary and expensive tower climbs and future proofing the site for C-RAN. New rack systems and solutions will also be featured, including fibre management boxes and other critical components for the FTTA system.

Smart City powered by RFS is a new range of modular urban telecom infrastructure from RFS and its strategic partners. RFS’ Smart Pole solution enables small cell deployment that combines wireless coverage, intelligent lighting, green power and smart sensors. It will support full integration in city environments, which will become increasingly important as 5G and IoT are deployed.

RFS can be found in Meeting Room PMR304 at CTIA 2016, Sands Expo, Las Vegas, Nevada.
