antennaPRO (Procom) has introduced several new combiner products for the TETRA market. Each of the products has been designed to be the smallest and most compact unit on the market, suitable for both stationary and mobile use, as well as being available in a tray for 19-inch rack mounting.
Combiners are used to allow multiple radio frequencies to be mixed, often facilitating the use of a single antenna. This not only reduces the need for a multiple antenna installations (and the associated issues that this may bring) but also reduces yearly site costs if antenna space is rented.
The PRO-ISO-PHY-TETRA-S4 combiner provides the possibility of connecting up to four TETRA radios into one common antenna. The PRO-ISO-PHY-TETRA-S4 has improved isolation between the ports - more than 62 dB - and lower insertion loss.
The PRO-ISO-PHY-TETRA-8 combiner (pictured) provides the possibility of connecting up to eight TETRA radios into one common antenna. The PRO-ISO-PHY-TETRA-8 has improved isolation between the ports - more than 60 dB - and low insertion loss.
Also available is the PRO-PHY-500-3400-4 which is a four station ultra wideband combiner, which supports GSM, DCS1800, PCS1900, UMTS, WIFI 2.4, 4G LTE and WIMAX. This ultra wideband combiner is ideal for the coupling of four transceivers on one common antenna and for parallel operation of four two-way communication radios (transceivers) where highest possible decoupling (isolation) is necessary.
