behaviour is moderated by the presence of the video camera. Increasingly the technology is being adopted by the police not only to calm aggressive situations and capture evidence, but also to improve transparency and trust with the public.

The Edesix VideoBadge series provides a number of features, including eight hours of continuous recording with 48 hours of battery standby, wide angle lenses and encrypted footage on the tamper proof badge should it fall in to the wrong hands.

The Edesix VB-200 camera comes with a pre-record function which enables users to define a set duration to pre-record footage so that events are captured from before the on switch is activated.

The VideoBadge series is backed by VideoManager, the back-office software which controls the storage, retrieval, secure data encryption and configurable user access management to maintain data integrity from camera to courtroom.
