Ranplan appoints Alastair Williamson as new head of global sales

Williamson moves from Cambridge Broadband to spearhead ambitious expansion plans for the company’s small cells and HetNet planning and optimisation tool

Ranplan appoints Alastair Williamson as new head of global sales

Ranplan has appointed Alastair Williamson to head up global sales for its next generation, all-in-one outdoor/indoor small cells and HetNet planning and optimisation tool. He will be responsible for driving ambitious international expansion plans including establishing a strong presence in the US.

Williamson brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the telecommunication industry. Prior to joining Ranplan, he led global sales at Cambridge Broadband and has also been responsible for sales teams at Alcatel Lucent and Krone. He also holds a Degree in Physics from Heriot Watt University.

On his appointment, Graham Peel, CEO of Ranplan, commeneds: “As Ranplan embarks on its next phase to expand our global reach and support existing and new customers in planning, optimising and deploying cost effective wireless networks, we are delighted to have Alastair on board. He has extensive experience in the global marketplace and will play a key role in helping to accelerate our business growth.”
