GTT has launched msmart-box – a protective outdoor enclosure designed to house M2M applications. The intelligent msmart-box is suitable for companies of all shapes and sizes: from large companies requiring nimble prototype development; through to medium sized set-ups in need of a single platform to support multiple product variants; right down to small organisations wanting low volumes.
For each and every application the msmart-box offers an easy path to rapid product development, and can be tailor-made to meet specific customer requirements.
A bespoke production-ready fully configured IP67 outdoor electronic system box offers a complete mechanical integration solution and a full mechanical design, which can be completed online in minutes with a fully assembled product delivered in days, according to GTT.
This removes the need to re-engineer an off-the-shelf enclosure and source and integrate components such as power, data communications and monitoring from multiple suppliers - only to find they don't work in practice. GTT's msmart-box is designed with a simple-to-use on-line tool that creates a fully integrated product that is guaranteed to work.
This speedy solution means accelerated market entry, beating the competition, development cost-savings, and a product that will not be discontinued and can be further developed to service evolving applications.
GTT said it has delivered more than three million Cinterion module integration solutions and 500 thousand M2M RF solutions to a wide range of customers worldwide and customers can be assured of receiving a high performance product backed up by a friendly personal service.
GTT delivers ‘one-stop’ solutions of assembled enclosures for use in outdoor harsh environments covering many applications including: security, remote monitoring and control and outdoor routers and gateways. Other GTT products include a range of smart antenna and antenna pigtails, plus miniPCIe data modem cards and wireless module PCB integration solutions.
The new msmart-box is EN60950-22 approved and features a robust, anti-corrosive frame that is vibration and shock tested. This means that electronics are protected in harsh wet and dusty outdoor environments from -40°C to +120°C and can be easily integrated with internal mounting plate options in a comprehensive range of application platforms.
GTT Europe provides wireless M2M embedded solutions. These include miniPCIe data modem cards (with M2M Cinterion wireless modules), wireless module PCB integration solutions, antenna pigtail cables and a range of smart antenna.
GTT also creates rugged industrial solutions for outdoor applications in harsh environments: security; remote monitoring and control and outdoor routers and gateways. GTT's EMEA support is based at its European head office in Oakham, Rutland, UK.
