Hytera compact PD36X DMR handheld radio now shipping

Hytera is now shipping its pocket size DMR PD36X handheld radio. The radio is part of Hytera’s PD range of digital migration radios aimed at customers looking to make the first move from analogue to digital systems. The radio can operate in either analogue or digital mode.

The PD36X is just 106 x 54 x 23mm in size and weighs only160g, so it easy to carry and will appeal to customers who need a two-way radio, but do not want to carry a conventionally sized one. A unique belt clip is also available as an accessory.

The PD36X operators in the UHF frequency range (400-440MHz , 430-470MHz) and has an RF power output 3W in UHF high power and 1.5W in UHF low power. In digital mode the battery life is approximately 12 hours and in analogue it is approximately 10 hours.

The radio has a micro USB port so it can be charged by adaptor and a computer. One key difference between the PD36X and is sister radio, the PD35X is that it features a short external antenna.

Mobile radios are represented by the MD65X.
