Stream Technologies and Avanti sign M2M partnership agreement

Stream Technologies has announced an agreement with Avanti to provide its Ka-band satellite services into the machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors.

Stream will shortly onboard the Avanti services onto its Stream IoT-X connectivity platform, enabling enterprise clients to manage and monitor their entire cellular and satellite connectivity from a single user interface.

Kevin McDowall, chief operating officer at Stream Technologies, commented: “Avanti’s decision to engage in the growth of the M2M/IoT sector is significant – it demonstrates the increasing focus and acceleration of the sector and provides a necessary higher data capacity capability within the single IoT-X connectivity platform from Stream.

“The flexibility built-in to Avanti’s technology supports our diverse applications. This is an exciting opportunity for both companies who lead their fields in their respective technologies,” said McDowall.

Matthew O’Connor, chief operating officer at Avanti Communications, commented: “We are pleased to be working alongside Stream Technologies. The quality of Avanti’s Ka-band satellite technology will support delivery of higher data capacity for Stream’s IoT product. We look forward to imminent rollout to Stream’s enterprise customer base.”
