Sepura appoints Talking Headsets as DMR channel partner in the UK

Sepura has partners with Talking Headsets Ltd for the supply of Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) products and solutions to end user organisations in the UK.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of the recently agreed partnership between Sepura and its first DMR channel partner for the region, Direct Telecom Services. Sepura entered the DMR market in November last year, applying the expertise and pedigree gained in the TETRA market to its new DMR product portfolio.

Keith Foote, managing director at Talking Headsets, commented: “Our customers operate in tough and challenging environments. We chose Sepura as we felt that our customers’ requirements match Sepura’s expertise of supplying tough, robust and dependable digital radio products. We are very excited about this partnership because it enables us to address completely new markets and create new opportunities as the majority of our current customer base has not yet started using digital radio communications.”

Cliff Davies, DMR business development manager for Sepura, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our digital radio communications expertise and knowledge to Talking Headsets’ customer base, to reach new customers and educate them about the benefits of digital radio communications. We are confident that our partnership with Talking Headsets will bring countless benefits and advantages to the professional and industrial market in the UK.”

Talking Headsets is a provider of professional communications equipment for the safety of personnel in a wide variety of workplace environments. It sells directly to large corporations whose professional and industrial users, mostly operating outdoors, often work in challenging and potentially hazardous environments.

Talking Headsets’ customer base comprises a significant number of major UK and international corporations from a variety of industrial and professional sectors, such as British Airways, the Environment Agency, EDF Energy, the UK Atomic Energy Authority, CONOCO Philips Petroleum Company, BAE Systems, the BBC, the British Nuclear Group, St Johns Ambulance, British Energy and many more.
