Toughshield, the provider of rugged mobile computers for business, has announced the forthcoming release of its latest enterprise device, the T700 rugged tablet.
Mark Davis, director – strategy and operations for Toughshield, stated: 'The T700 is the first rugged tablet to offer IP68, the highest IP rating against dust and moisture ingress, combined with dual SIM and NFC as standard. Additionally, the tablet’s robust 7-inch Gorilla Glass screen makes it ideal for a variety of business environments.'
Following on from the launch of the R500+ rugged mobile computer, the T700 is designed to provide the same blend of consumer design and ease of use, combined with enterprise specific functionality and durability, at a competitive price point.
'The T700 is ideal for a range of applications including field sales, regulatory inspection, hospitality and domiciliary care. Running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the tablet includes a range of enterprise specific features. These include dual SIM, making it ideal for workers who travel, and a programmable hot key button that can be configured for common tasks or as a lone worker safety button,' Davis concluded.
The T700 will be available to purchase from April this year.
