Jasper Wireless, the connected devices platform provider, announced today (4 December 2013) that it has partnered with Tele2 AB to power enterprise machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices globally.
The company's M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) enabling platform is used over 2,500 enterprises deployed across 15 mobile operator groups. Tele2 operates in 10 markets: Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
Jasper Wireless will provide Tele2 with global visibility of all SIMs connected to the mobile network and robust self-service tools for provisioning, real-time diagnostics and usage controls across global locations and multiple vertical industries.
These capabilities enable enterprise customers to benefit from the customer support and a fast time-to-market for new connected devices, which Jasper provides for businesses around the world looking to exploit the global IoT opportunity.
Jasper Wireless delivers a platform that offers enterprise customers and operator partners the automation of operational processes, including custom device provisioning, instant activation, real-time diagnostic tools and detailed billing and usage reports. The platform is already operational and is currently being rolled out in a number of customer projects by Tele2.
“When it comes to capitalising on and supporting the growth in mobile IoT services, operators and enterprises need more than just technology,” said Cindy Patterson, chief revenue officer, Jasper Wireless. “Innovation is happening so fast, and in so many sectors, that operators need to know that they can immediately access a critical mass of enterprise customers who are already live and delivering M2M services.”
