Starhome, the global provider of solutions to optimise multi-network mobility, announced this week (1 October 2013) that it has completed its acquisition certain MACH assets, divested by Syniverse in June 2013.
Combined, the company will be known as Starhome MACH. The combination of Starhome’s value added services with MACH’s data clearing, NRTRDE, business intelligence and new financial clearing portfolio will create immediate opportunities to launch new services to the market. These will be offered worldwide with local regionalized support.
With the inclusion in the acquisition of 76 mobile network operator customers from the European Economic Area and Africa, Starhome MACH will have 300 customers, becoming the market leader in roaming value added services and the second largest clearing house globally.
MACH’s cloud-based clearing and Starhome’s multi network technology have been proven over 14 years with some of the largest operators worldwide and provides a real and unique alternative in the market place. The deal also includes the ground breaking ‘Unity’ Business Management Portal which will be launched worldwide in Q4 to all customers.
Tal Meirzon, CEO at Starhome MACH commented: “The roaming market is undergoing fundamental change. Regulations are driving down retail revenues while network requirements and costs are increasing. Subscribers expect their service to work, regardless of boundaries or technological complexities.”
“The Starhome MACH combination presents a tremendous opportunity to expand our presence in the market with solutions for the next generation of roaming challenges.
Meirzon concluded: “Roaming managers are being asked to do more, with less people and less investment. The combination of Starhome and certain MACH assets allows us to define a new kind of portfolio and business approach, which brings new value to the roaming market whilst simplifying the roaming manager’s daily life. Unleashing the power of two, generates one company that is big enough to globally compete yet small enough to care.”
The acquisition includes full worldwide ownership of all intellectual property rights of the MACH data clearing and NRTRDE processing applications; the industry leading ‘Unity’ business management portal; and MACH brand, trademarks and logo.
Also included is a full suite of business intelligence including MACH Smart, MACH Roaming Management, and the MACH Optimiser wholesale modelling tool.
