Aricent partners with Sunnada to develop a LTE TDD small cell solution

Technology services company the Aricent Group announced today (26 June 2013) that it has partnered with Fujian Sunnada Communication to develop and offer a comprehensive TDD LTE small cell solution, which has been especially customised for the Chinese market.

TDD offers distinct advantages such as flexible spectrum usage, reciprocity, dynamic allocation based on real-time traffic, and more accurate timing and synchronization. The joint offering provides complete TDD functionality and has been tailor-made to cater to the Chinese market.

‘Small cells are critical for proliferation of LTE, and TDD is the technology of choice in China,’ said Pratyush Dasgupta, vice president and head of wireless practice, at Aricent. ‘We are very pleased to have partnered with Sunnada to help them jumpstart the development of LTE small cell solutions to cater to the highly lucrative Chinese market.’
