affini Technology, part of Team Telecom Group, showcased its affini Real-Time Connect solution at this year’s Critical Communications World (CCW) conference and exhibition in Paris, alongside sister company Simoco’s latest DMR and P25 products.
affini Real-Time Connect is a unified business critical communications solution with a focus on connecting technology which means; connecting people, devices & systems; connecting people together; connecting systems and platforms.
On show at this year’s event was the affini Real-Time Connect platform using the WAVE module to enable interoperability between two way radios, smartphones, tablets and desktop PCs.
affini Real-Time Connect using WAVETM creates an IP core for critical voice, data and video communications in a hosted (or cloud-based) deployment. Visitors to Simoco’s stand (F325) had the opportunity to experience a demonstration of affini Real-Time Connect using WAVE.
Deployment of affini Real-Time Connect using WAVE is already underway at London’s Heathrow Airport and comes on the back of a long standing relationship with the inventors of WAVE. Further large scale and complex campus deployments are planned.
The affini Real-Time Connect platform is the foundation for affini’s connecting technology roadmap, focused on cloud based critical communications solutions. This capability sits alongside affini’s broad project, professional and managed service offerings. affini specialises in the planning, deployment and management of critical communications networks for large complex environments.
Simoco products at CCW
At the show, Simoco, the two-way radio terminal and infrastructure manufacturer in the TTG group, exhibited its complete end-to-end DMR system; Simoco Xd (pictured), which offers high quality, robust audio and the latest advances in intelligent Man Down and GPS tracking, making it an ideal solution for mission critical and hostile environments.
The Simoco Xd range includes base stations/repeater, mobiles and portables all built around an IP backbone, and offers DMR Tier II, with a software upgrade option to the DMR Tier III (trunked radio) standard.
Simoco also had its latest range of P25 equipment on display, featuring the SB2025NT Simulcast base station, which offers market-leading P25 performance in a robust, reliable yet compact 2U form. The SB2025NT integrated simulcast and voting controller offers enhanced resilience and full remote management of base station networks in a cost effective, component-based system, which is spectrum specific and perfectly suited for a broad area of coverage.
