The Federation of Communication Services is calling for entries in Innovation in Business Radio, Installer of the Year and Apprentice of the Year

The FCS invites entries for its 2013 Industry Awards

The Federation of Communication Services is inviting businesses to submit entries for its 2013 awards. The purpose of the FCS Industry Awards is to foster excellence, to recognise and reward innovation and achievement as well as to encourage the communication and adoption of best practice within the communications industry.

The awards, which are sponsored by two-way radio manufacturer Hytera, comprise the following three categories:      

Gerald David OBE Innovation in Business Radio Award

This award is open to all businesses delivering Business Radio products and services either directly or by association within the communication services industry, be they manufacturers, suppliers or retailers.

The definition of Business Radio include land, marine and aero based products and services and any applications from radio amateurs where the product or service would reasonably have a Business Radio application.

Installer of the Year Award

This award is open to all individual installers, installation contractors and any manufacturers, distributors or retailers directly involved in contracting install services. The installer of the year award was introduced to cast a spotlight on best practice and quality of service in the installation sector.

Apprentice of the Year Award

The award is open to employees of all businesses within the communication services industry, be they manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, operators and CP’s in mobile, fixed, IP, broadband, radio and wireless communications. Entries on behalf of a maximum of three candidates from the same employer may be submitted

The award is open only to candidates that are already undertaking a formal, or recognised, Apprenticeship scheme.
