Mosaik Solutions, formerly American Roamer, the geospatial network intelligence provider, announced at CTIA Wireless 2012 in new Orleans today (8 May 2012) additional capabilities in its MapELEMENTS product and also showcased a prototype of a mobile coverage app for its CellMaps service.
MapELEMENTS is a hosted interactive mapping solution that enables strategic decision makers to access network and market intelligence on different segments of the wireless, cable and telecom ecosystem - all within one web browser.
Users can build custom maps showing worldwide mobile network coverage, North American mobile licensing, U.S. cable and landline footprints and U.S. broadcast television radials that can be combined with their own proprietary intelligence to ensure they can see the whole picture.
MapELEMENTS now supports additional flexibility and deeper analytical value with the addition of population and area metrics, allowing Mosaik Solutions’ customers a clearer view of how network coverage decisions are affected by demographics using the latest United States Census data.
Through the use of MapELEMENTS Point and Boundary Inspector previously introduced in February 2012, users can leverage demographics along with the rich network coverage intelligence to understand more about where the market opportunities are.
CellMaps is a popular web-based interactive coverage mapping solution that can be quickly and economically deployed. In this era of rapidly evolving technologies and extraordinarily high customer expectations, it is vital that operators, MVNOs and retailers accurately and elegantly communicate where their networks are and are not.CellMaps is used by some of the largest operators and retailers in the world to provide more coverage intelligence to both customers and internal workgroups alike.
CellMaps already supports mobile browsing, but the prototype app to be unveiled at CTIA Wireless offers CellMaps’ clients more flexibility to deliver a branded mobile coverage application to its customers directly using the CellMaps platform. The prototype mobile coverage app utilizes additional elements of the Mosaik Solutions technology stack and associated APIs, along with leveraging Mosaik Solutions’ significant in-house creative skills.
Bryan Darr, CEO and president of Mosaik Solutions, said: ‘Our ongoing commitment to rapidly evolving intelligence and capabilities drives us to develop solutions so clients can make better tactical and strategic decisions. The new features and UI improvements in MapELEMENTS and the development of the CellMaps prototype app are both significant steps to further differentiate Mosaik Solutions. Additionally, an operator or MVNO-branded mobile application creates more customer awareness about the most vital and expensive part of their company – their customers and their networks.’
