TWC 2012: Skymasts unveils new street furniture antennas for TETRA

Skymasts Antenna has extended its range of broadband TETRA antennas to include new designs aimed at reducing their visual impact on the street and within buildings.

In the urban environment when the visual impact of a system design becomes paramount and the ability to deliver reliable performance with aesthetically appealing profiles is a must, according to Skymasts.

The Street Furniture and In-building Antenna designs and concepts will help reduce the visual impact of antenna sites and meet local planning authority requirements. The new antennas will enable system planners and designers to overcome both In-Building and outdoor visual impact concerns.

The concept of the designs is to be able to offer a number of configurations from omnidirectional to tri-sector coverage within a single flange-mounted housing. A variety of colour options are also available.

Skymasts family of In-Building antennas has also recently been extended with a new electrically and physically small, highly efficient and visually appealing antenna design offering class leading bandwidth, as well as exceptional IM performance, the company said.

A number of the new Skymasts Tetra Street Furniture and In-Door Antennas will be exhibited at the forthcoming TETRA World Exhibition & Conference in Dubai in May.
