Sepura bags two new contract wins worldwide

Sepura has secured a number a new contracts over the last two months, including deals to supply terminals to German mining company MIBRAG and the municipality of Valence in France.

MIBRAG, which operates open-cast lignite mines in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, is upgrading its analogue network with a TETRA one supplied by SELEX. It chose 430 Sepura STP8000 hand-portables and a further 230 SRG3900 mobiles, both of which are fitted with the company’s sensitive GPS feature.

The Valence city authorities have also decided to move to a TETRA system to improve communications between the various services and agencies, as well as reducing the overall cost of ownership of the radio network.
